Unfortunately, I forgot to take my camera with me for today's wild activity - however, we took a lovely walk down to Sutton Gault which is part of the SSSI that is the Ouse Washes.
There are two rivers here (the Old and New Bedford Rivers) and they help to keep the river levels at a normal level and to keep the fens drained so we don't get flooded! It is a superb habitat for birds and animals - evidenced by the nature reserves along its length. I always feel really lucky to have this within walking distance!
We didn't see much wildlife tonight: a few small birds, some cows and that was about it. But it was a cool but pleasant evening. With the coronavirus lockdown still gradually easing its nice to get outside and see something interesting!
