My Tunes
Here you'll find music that I've composed. These are generally folk tunes and are provided in abc format. PDFs available upon request, I will gradually add the sheet music to the tunes here. I have recorded some of the tunes and you can find them on SoundCloud. Some of them are bad MIDI files but I am intending to re-record those and record the rest of them in time.
You can filter these tunes using the "select tag" option.
Any of my tunes can be used for non-profit use, including the notation but PLEASE ALWAYS give credit.

Okay, so the origins of this tune are slightly unhinged, but essentially, the Cambridge University Ceilidh Band (who I play and call with) went on holiday to Wales in September 2024. The floor plan of the girl's bathroom showed a mysterious round object in the corner that one male member of the band was intrigued by. His girlfriend and myself were trying to convince him that it was a cauldron which we used to do magic spells and curses. In a totally unfiltered moment, that I tried to stop myself, I ended up saying at one point something like "why do you think its in the girls' bathroom, what do you think we feed it?" You can use your own imagination to work out the the answer I gave. A few days later, PMS and PCOS is hitting me hard and it was suggested that I "Feed The Cauldron". This tune comes out of my experiences of PMS and PCOS - mysterious, spooky, angsty and occassionally full of anger.

Part of a set inspired by the band's favourite hot beverages at the time. This is for P, who generally likes his tea "warm and wet". This has been tested by giving him coffee and custard mixed together to the approximate shade of brown that looks like tea. He drank it very happily only pausing to note it didn't quite taste right when there was a lot of giggling going on. This has happened twice, the last time being on his wedding day!

(The bubble bath in question I suspect came from Lush...)
